ધ્રુમપાન છોડવાથી થતા ફાયદા !
ધૂમ્રપાન છોડવાની ફાયદાકારક અસરો લગભગ મિનિટથી કલાકોની અંદર તરત જ શરૂ થાય છે અને ઘણા વર્ષોથી એક દાયકા સુધી જોવા મળે છે.
- 30 થી 60 મિનિટની અંદર – હાર્ટ રેટ અને બ્લડ પ્રેશર ઘટવાનું શરૂ થાય છે.
- 12 કલાકમાં – લોહીમાં કાર્બન મોનોક્સાઇડનું સ્તર સામાન્ય થઈ જાય છે.
- 4-12 અઠવાડિયામાં – રક્ત પરિભ્રમણ અને ફેફસાના કાર્યમાં સુધારો થાય છે.
- 3-6 મહિનામાં – ઉધરસ અને શ્વાસ લેવામાં તકલીફ અને શ્વસન ચેપનું જોખમ પણ ઘટાડે છે.
- 1 વર્ષે – ધમ્રપાન કરનારના હૃદયના રોગના જોખમને અડધાથી ઘટાડવામાં આવે છે.
- 5 વર્ષમાં, હાર્ટ એટેક થવાનું જોખમ અથવા મગજની સ્ટ્રોકનું જોખમ નોનસ્મોકર જેટલું ઘટી જાય છે.
- 10 વર્ષમાં – ફેફસાંના કેન્સરનું જોખમ ધૂમ્રપાન કરનારના અડધા જેટલું થઈ જાય છે અને મોં, ગળા, અન્નનળી વગેરેના કેન્સરનું જોખમ પણ ઘટે છે.
- ધ્રુમપાન બંધ કર્યા બાદ શરુતમાં વધુ મુશ્કેલી પડે છે પરંતુ લાંબા ગાળે, ધૂમ્રપાન બંધ કરવાથી માનસિક ચીડિયાપણું, અસ્વસ્થતા, હતાશા અને મૂડ સ્વિંગ માં ફાયદો થાય છે.
- ધૂમ્રપાનથી દૂર રહેવાથી નપુંસકતા, વંધ્યત્વ, અકાળ જન્મ અને કસુવાવડની શક્યતાને પણ ઘટાડે છે.

તમાકુ અસરકારક રીતે છોડવાની ટિપ્સ
તમાકુ છોડવાની કોઈ એક અને સરળ રીત નથી. નીચેની કેટલીક ટીપ્સ તમને આ ટેવને દૂર કરવામાં મદદ કરી શકે છે:
- તમાકુ છોડવાની યોજના બનાવો અને તેને વળગી રહો. જો તમે થોડા વખત નિષ્ફળ જાઓ તો પણ વાંધો નથી. પ્રયાસ કરતા રહો અને હિંમત છોડશો નહીં.
- તમારા આહારમાં ફેરફાર કરો. કેટલીક ખાદ્ય વસ્તુઓ છે જે આલ્કોહોલ, ચા, કોફી, વાયુયુક્ત પીણા જેવા સિગરેટનો સ્વાદ વધુ સારી બનાવે છે. તેમને ટાળો અને તેના બદલે ફળો, શાકભાજી, પનીર, પાણી, તાજા ફળોનો રસ મેળવો.
- ઉપરાંત, જો તમને ભોજન પછીની સિગારેટની ટેવ હોય, તો પછી તમારા રૂટિનમાં ફેરફાર કરો અને તમારા મનને વાળવા માટે થોડી પ્રવૃત્તિ કરો.
- તમે ધૂમ્રપાન કરવાનું બંધ કર્યા પછી થોડા અઠવાડિયા દરમિયાન તણાવપૂર્ણ પરિસ્થિતિઓને ટાળવાનો પ્રયાસ કરો.
- તમારા ધૂમ્રપાન ન કરનાર મિત્રોની આસપાસ રહેવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરો અને થોડા સમય માટે તમારા ધૂમ્રપાન કરનારા મિત્રોને ટાળો.
- તમારા ઘર, તમારા આજુબાજુ, કપડાં અને સામાનને સાફ કરો જેથી તમને સિગારેટના ધૂમ્રપાનની પરિચિત સુગંધ ન મળે જે તમને ધૂમ્રપાનની યાદ અપાવે.
